Harm Reduction 101

An introduction to the history and guiding principles of Harm Reduction includes overdose prevention strategies and how harm reduction can be integrated across the spectrum of drug use. An interactive training that provides a safe space to explore individual biases and how stigma and bias can impact access and delivery of services in communities. The intersections of race and ethnicity and social determinants of health and the importance of culturally responsive systems of care are explored along with harm reduction efforts occurring locally, regionally, and nationally and how training participants can integrate these approaches into their work.
